Bev is a committed, hands-on environmental educator fascinated by how each part of an ecosystem is connected to and interacts with the rest. Her enthusiasm for nature is infectious and invaluable in work with the Townsville Yellow Crazy Ant Taskforce.
She has a background in education and is graduating with a Masters in Environmental Management and Sustainability. Bev’s recent projects include Coastal Beach Scrub conservation, Mulligans Flat Sanctuary Education Programs and the ‘Ask-A-Scientist’ project.
Bev grew up Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region and worked on Landcare and desalination projects from a young age, as well as projects to reduce invasive species.
She has a wealth of experience in community engagement to her role and is looking forward to working with the Townsville community and further developing her science knowledge and skills.
Bev works on the land of the Wulgurukaba and Bindal people.
