Taigen has contributed to both national and international public health projects, bringing experience that bridges Indigenous knowledge systems with contemporary health and environmental practices
Her global travels and cross-cultural work have strengthened her belief in community cohesion, as well as the importance of tailored and collaborative solutions to complex challenges.
Reflecting a deep commitment to the interconnectedness of health, culture, and the environment, she holds a Bachelor of Public Health, specialising in Health Promotion and Indigenous Studies, and postgraduate in Leadership and Entrepreneurship.
Taigen also has a history of volunteering on environmental and youth-based community projects, experience designing and implementing brief intervention programs for at-risk population groups, and more recently contributing to professional forums by presenting on unaddressed environmental health challenges concerning parts of Australia.
A Kalkadoon woman who is proud to call Mount Isa her home, Taigen currently works from Gubbi Gubbi/ Kabi Kabi land.
