Since 2018, Linda Groom has been the co-ordinating volunteer on the Reclaim Kosci campaign. Her team of volunteers collected over 38,000 signatures across three petitions seeking removal of feral horses from Kosciuszko National Park and repeal of the Kosciuszko Wild Horse Heritage Act.
Prior to her retirement Linda was Curator of Pictures at the National Library of Australia. She has written two books on natural history artists of the First Fleet, and is a keen bushwalker. Conservation activism runs in her family; she is the daughter of Arthur Groom, co-founder of Binna Burra Lodge and a founding member of the National Parks Association of Queensland.
