Fire ants are breaking through the cracks. We must act now.
You are the crucial factor in this fight. Your donation today will help us hold governments accountable and stop fire ants in their tracks.
How to help | I’m ready to donate!
On Tuesday, fire ants were discovered across 5 coal mine sites in Central Queensland, on top of new detections in NSW and even WA. These tiny killers are slipping through the cracks and spreading in places they’ve never been before.
This is not bad luck. It’s a catastrophic breach.
If governments keep stalling, eradication will fail, and we will be left with a permanent fire ant future. Their deadly stings could wipe out 95% of frogs, 69% of reptiles, 45% of birds and 38% of mammals in south-east Queensland alone.
Across the continent, the damage will be worse than cane toads, rabbits, feral cats and foxes combined.
This is Australia’s last chance to eradicate fire ants. Please make your urgent donation today.
Your gift will help us force governments to:
- Treat this as a full national emergency
- Fund suppression properly and in time
- Fix the failures that are letting outbreaks spread
You and I are the crucial factor in whether eradication succeeds or fails. Nest densities are exploding south of Brisbane, outbreaks are breaking containment, and suppression is still dangerously underfunded.
Your urgent donation will help us hold governments to account – before it’s too late.
