Lyall is a biosecurity and environmental policy analyst, with experience working on invasive species, national biosecurity, environmental approvals, international development and market access. He has previously worked for the federal government coordinating national biosecurity reform, and assessing projects under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act framework. With an invasive species science background, Lyall has also volunteered overseas as a biosecurity and pest management trainer and advisor, developing skills in engagement, cross-cultural work and understanding the needs of communities relating to biosecurity and pest management practices.
Lyall is passionate about working to prevent, minimise and address the threats posed by invasive species to our natural world as well as to the food production sector and our communities.
Lyall works on the land of the Ngunnawal people.
