Gabriel George, Digital Campaigner

Gabriel is a science communicator and conservation scientist with a passion for protecting Australia’s wildlife. 

He joined the Invasive Species Council at the beginning of 2022 after graduating from a Master in Conservation Science from The University of Queensland. His undergraduate studies included a dual Bachelor of Science (Honours) / Bachelor of Arts, specialising in ecology, palaeobiology, journalism and political science. 

Before coming on board as our Digital Campaigner, Gabriel spent time as an academic tutor, research technician and volunteer carer at an animal shelter. In his spare time, Gabriel hosts and produces a conservation podcast and a weekly community radio science show. 

Gabriel works on the land of the Gamaragal people.
