Victoria has some of the rarest plants and animals in Australia, yet we are allowing a plague of over 1 million feral deer to trample, muddy and strip it bare.
Please act now to stop this damage.
Home to the once considered extinct but rediscovered Leadbeater’s Possum as well as the platypus and the helmeted honeyeater, the unique plants and animals found in Victoria’s national parks are famous across the world, greatly contributing to what it is that makes Australia special.
However shockingly, feral deer are granted similar protections to our native wildlife. With a lack of predators, occurrence in vast and remote areas and great habitat flexibility, we have allowed feral deer to quickly become one of Victoria’s and ultimately Australia’s most damaging pest invaders.
Enough is enough.
Please take action and SIGN NOW to tell the Victorian Government: Invest in effective control and remove protections for feral deer – before it’s too late.
